Searching for the heart of every project, Houth are problem solvers by design, for design.

For the Taipei-based creative studio Houth, the only way to start a project is by asking questions. Founded in 2014 and specialising in brand strategy and design, Houth looks first to understand what problems there are to solve and then work from there, developing a framework to build upon. This process is one that’s proved worthwhile. In recent years the studio having been selected at Tokyo’s Type Directors Club (TDC) awards for excellent work whilst also being inducted into the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI).

The studio leads with a personal and sentimental approach. “Our inspiration comes from the details of everyday life, from independent bookstores to films,” the studio tells us, “small, emotional observations that spark our creativity and broaden our perspectives. We combine practicality with artistic expression, carefully exploring each detail to create designs that are both meaningful and enduring in value.” In this way, they purposefully approach their work not with style in mind, but emotion.

As a result, Houth’s work is vibrant, fluid and experimental, asking us to challenge graphic and material expectation, entwining logic with intuition and finding expression through pragmatism, and vice versa. “We strive to deliver creative solutions that bridge art and business,” the studio ends.
